LPL’s upcoming season will start on July 31 and on the auction, a total of 360 players will go under the hammer. Among them, 140 overseas players have also been shortlisted and former India star Suresh Raina is among the names.
The teams have been given a fixed salary cap of $500,000 and they will have to formulate the teams with the aforementioned budget.
Previously, the LPL player selection was based on a draft system and the tournament will get its first taste of the auction method, emulating the IPL style.
Time: The auction is expected to begin at 2.30 pm IST on Wednesday.
Sony Sports Network has the rights to televise the Lanka Premier League in India, but as we understand, there will be no live telecast for LPL 2023 auction in India.
Fans from India can live stream the auction process though. Sri Lanka Cricket’s YouTube Channel will stream the auction in India, Sri Lanka and other countries. Facebook users can also live stream the auction through Sri Lanka Cricket’s official Facebook page.
