The Pakistan team will be playing against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Apart from that, all of their matches have been allocated in South Indian cities and Kolkata, as per the draft schedule is concerned.
BCCI has reportedly sent their fixtures schedule to ICC, which was then shared with other participating nations. Although PCB chairman Najam Sethi demanded Pakistan’s exclusion from Ahmedabad during group stages, they are set to face India at the largest cricket stadium in the world.
India are set to open their account against Australia on October 8, but the Pakistanis are going to start their campaign against one of the two qualifying teams on October 6.
Pakistan’s matches have been allotted in all three South Indian venues, whereas they are also going to play a couple of matches in Kolkata as well.
Babar Azam and his men will be playing two qualifying teams in Hyderabad. Then they will play two matches in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai each. They will play Australia in Bengaluru, whereas the reigning champions England will face them in Kolkata.
