WWE SmackDown: Spoiler on Roman Reigns and AJ Styles on June 9 Episode

As promoted on this week’s Raw by The Special Counsel of The Bloodline, Paul Heyman, a historic segment was touted that would change the course for the faction when Jey decides if he stays with Roman Reigns or not.

Back at Night of Champions 2023, Jimmy Uso betrayed Roman by superkick-ing him and thereby costing him and Solo Sikoa the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles held by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Then last week, Jimmy was banished from The Bloodline and now it’s time for Jey to either take his side or re-join Roman. At present, reports suggest Roman will team up with Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank to take on The Usos.

In an update from BWE Twitter account, WWE is indeed looking at another tag team match for The Tribal Chief instead of his next championship defense. The full setup will be done on SmackDown when Jey takes a stand.

“Another Tag match for Roman is discussed. Some will fume but it’s a story and we need to lay out and watch. Yall know, don’t need me to tell you how things should play out.”

As for the tag team titles, BWE also tweeted out behind their private Twitter account to reveal that WWE has an interesting plan to crown new number-one contenders for those titles on SmackDown.

A tag team gauntlet match is being planned for “not too distant future” to determine new challengers for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens’ titles. It’s not confirmed whether that gauntlet will indeed go down on tonight’s episode.

Owens and Zayn were able to defeat Roman Reigns and Solo at Night of Champions with help from Jimmy Uso. Then they moved into a next feud with Imperium members – Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci on Raw.

In more updates from SmackDown, BWE informed that top WWE Superstar AJ Styles will continue to drag forward his ongoing program with Karrion Kross. There’s no update on whether these two will get involved in a match at Money in the Bank.

AJ Styles competed in Saudi Arabia for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but he came up short against Seth Rollins in the cross-brand match. Now, he’s leading The O.C. – Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Mia Yim on SmackDown.
